Over the years, it’s become a bit of a Thanksgiving/holiday tradition to go to the Hamptons with my family. I made a small video showing some of my favorite points of every trip: at the beach. There never is too little to do, and I certainly think the one who enjoys it the most is my dog, Caline.
I went to see “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” yesterday, after I blogged to you guys.
OH! INTERMISSION! I ALMOST FORGOT! HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO ALL OF YOU (i mean thanksgiving)! Or, if you also celebrate Hanukkah, happy Thanksgivukkah! Okay, enough- let’s get back to the point.
Most people, when I tell them that my favorite thing to do in New York City is eat those delicious noodles that the MoMA Museum has on the menu, look at me like I’ve grown two heads and then utter a disbelieving, “Why?!”
Don’t worry. It happens quite often, and I’m used to it by now. Mainly, it’s because NYC is just so loud and… well… dirty. Some parts are absolutely lovely, I’ll give you that, but others, not so much. However, I will now be all guilty and admit the fact that I do love going shopping in all the fabulous stores and seeing all the beautiful lights whizz by. Oh, yeah; that reminds me of what I wanted to share with you today.
…is feeling free, as if you could do anything. Few people ever realize that yes, horse-back riding could sometimes be looked at as being more of a sport for the horse than the rider, but those people also don’t understand the effort and training it takes to make it look that way. To me, riding is all about forming a bond with your horse and understanding the way your mount thinks- after all, you’re not driving a car, but you’re rather driving a quite unpredictable if not wild animal.
Right now, you’re probably thinking of moving on to another blog post or running away from my blog altogether. However, I haven’t explained my point in detail yet, so might just as well stick around.
Hi everybody! How is your Friday going so far? I decided that as well as posting each Sunday, I would also post every other Friday to get in a little more time one my new blog. This Friday, I ended on the idea of making two fashion collages and sharing them with you. (you can follow me on Polyvore @navyblueguava to see all the collages for “The Wild Girl” series) Here goes, and I hope you like them!
I created this collage not necessarily to show off my sense of style, but rather to just shove everything I liked together into one big heap. How do you think it is?
Hello everybody! How’s your weekend going so far? I was writing a book review to post today, except I unfortunately haven’t finished yet, so I guess it just has to be published next Sunday (unless, of course, I find some time during the week). So instead, I chose to post some of my instagram photos from the weekend, as well as some things that inspired me. Hope you like it!
(Just saying, you might find it a little strange that all the pictures I’m about to share with you that are also mine have NavyBlueGuava written on them somewhere. That’s just my IG identity!) This picture I took because of my precious writing diary. You may have figured out by now from something or other that I really love writing anything down, so I created a diary a while ago just for this purpose. This little scene right here, consisting of a creepy-cool pencil, my notebook, and a giant chocolate bar, is pretty much an incredibly normal scenario for me.
Um, hello. This is, of course, a bit awkward, but I do think that I’ll manage. My name is Amelie, and yes, I was actually half-named-after the movie “Die Welt von Amelie”, or “Amelie’s World” in English. I speak German and French fluently, and my third language is English, though I don’t have any sort of accent. This is certainly not my first time experimenting with creating a blog. However, I have a feeling that Jettamelon will stay around for a while. I’ve also decided to start exploring YouTube some more, and I’ve actually tried my hand at making a video or two. How the heck do people like Michelle Phan get their videos to be so… so… perfect?
I think that I’ll write all sorts of things on my blog. Stories, fashion, makeup, DIY, diaries, videos- you (probably) name it! I’ve also been to all kinds of places in the world. the ony continent that I’ve never been to is Asia, and Antarctica certainly does not count as a continent in this case.
I used to absolutely loathe any sport except horse-back riding, which I started intensely at a very young age. Now, I also compete in volleyball, which is the only ball-sprt that I actually enjoy playing.
Since so many bloggers create a list of things about themselves that their readers never knew, I decided to do the same thing, only instead, I will do it on my first post.
